I would like to nominate Anita Riebolt, my daughter's preschool teacher, for the teacher appreciation contest. In addition to Anita being a warm, loving teacher who guides and supports the youngsters in their civil and academic success, she also has the awesome privilege of, in many cases, introducing Jesus to children who may otherwise never know him. Through bible stories, songs, discussions, arts and crafts and presentations, Anita teaches the children about God's love and the precious gift of salvation. Research shows that 32% of children are saved between the ages of 5-14, and of the unsaved, only 10% will receive Christ later in life. As you can see, Anita has such an influential task at hand by laying an impressionable faith based foundation that can change a youngsters life eternally. Just think of how many lives Anita will change in her lifetime and what a ripple effect that will have. In my mind, Anita is on a missionary job from God, and although she is very deserving of this teacher appreciation award, who true reward can not be seen on each.
