Mrs. Frame

My son has an Autistic Disorder called Aspbergers Syndrome. The first few years of his education were very frustrating partially because no one really knew how to teach him in the area of reading. While the last few years have been getting better, this year he made tremendous strides, he moved from the non-reader part of the spectrum to having the world of reading opened up for him. He is excited about being able to read, I attribute his progress to a team of good teachers this year and within that team one especially caring and knowledgable teacher, Mrs. Frame. Several years ago she was one of the first people to point out or "classify" what my sons "diagnosis" really should be. We were lucky enough to actually get her as his special services teacher this year. She has experience with teaching children with Aspergers in the past and it really shows in her ability to bring out the best in my son. It has felt like she was an answer to my prayers. My wish is that every other child with Aspbergers syndrome finds an advocate just like Mrs. Frame to bring out the best in them. She works very hard, gives of her own time and is very deserving of a little extra.
