Tammy Koetje

After 2 years of being out of work, God worked a miracle in our lives and blessed my husband with a great job. However, the job is almost 3 hours away, so he's gone during the week and only home from Friday night to Sunday night.

Our oldest daughter, Hannah is 7 and in 2nd grade. She took this very hard and we saw it coming out in her school work. Her grades started dropping and it was a constant battle to keep her encouraged and excited. Up to that point, she did great in school. On top of that, she was having trouble with another student giving her trouble.

Here's where Mrs. Koetje comes in. She immediately, took action and helped put an end to the issue with the other student. Not only did she talk with Hannah, but also the other student. Today, Hannah and this student are great friends. Mrs. Koetje is responsible for that.

As for the struggles Hannah was having with Daddy being gone all week, she was such an encouragement to Hannah. She took the time to call me or talk to me at the school. She also made it a point to ask Hannah, daily, how things were going. Hannah's well-being and success as a 2nd grader was important to her. Above all else, Hannah's relationship with God is top priority, as it is with all of Mrs. Koetje's students.

It took a few months, but because of Mrs. Koetje's dedication and love for her students, Hannah is now back on track and doing great.

Mrs. Koetje takes the time to get to know her students and their families. It's not just a job, but a passion. Her love and commitment to Christ-centered education is unmatchable. I can't imagine where Hannah would be now if it weren't for all the time and love Mrs. Koetje gave. I look forward to our 3 other children having her in the future.
