This is my childrens 2nd year at HLS. We moved our 2 children, Reece age7, and Elleana age 6 to HLS in 2008 after having a difficult time with the Public School system. Both children were in Kathy Jones K/1st/2nd grade for 2008/2009, and Elleana is in her class currently. As a mother I had 3 concerns for school; one that they would be able to learn and grow academically, 2nd that they would not be told they could not talk about their faith, and 3rd and most important that my children would be loved as much as we love them at home for the 6 hours they attended school. Mrs. Jones was able to meet all the concerns that I had. What a blessing it is to not only see your children grow academically and spiritually from school, but to also have a deep love for their teacher. In her brief teaching of my children she has touched not only their hearts, but mine and my husbands as well. It is so amazing to us to see Gods work, a true spirtual gift of teaching touching so many lives daily, including our children. Elleana has been so inspired , that she has stated "I am going to be a teacher just like Mrs. Jones." Our family has been so blessed to have her as our childrens teacher that we could never thank her enough for all that she has done, she has taught them and loved them as if they were her own children, no parent can ask for more than that!
